Are you an experienced Facility IP coder looking for new opportunities? Join our dynamic team of recruiters at the leading staffing agency in the job placement industry. We are looking for (3) Coding Specialist candidates to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities
As a Coding Specialist, you will be responsible for correctly assigning ICD-10-CM diagnostic/procedure PCS codes on clinical encounters to ensure accurate reimbursem*nt. Working with the Health Information Management department, you will code inpatient admissions from various discharge departments and must adhere to CMS Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting. Additionally, your role involves identifying appropriate charges based on documentation and ensuring coding accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of inpatient coding experience
- Experience in acute care facility and/or Trauma Level II coding preferred
- AAPC, AHIMA, or Certified Coding credential required
ResponsibilitiesYour duties will include:
- Assignment of ICD-10-CM diagnostic codes
- Adhering to Health Information Management (HIM) Coding policies
- Interpreting and applying AHA Official Coding Guidelines
- Staying updated on ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and regulatory changes
Skills and Certifications
- AAPC, AHIMA, or Certified Coding credential
- Proficient in translating diagnostic statements
- Knowledge of CPT Assistant and HCPCS coding manuals
Compensation
- Base Salary: USD $56,056 to $78,478
- Full-time position with full benefits
- No relocation assistance, commission, or bonus eligible
- Overtime not eligible
