A wave of tributes have been left for people from Plymouth or those with links to the city who have died recently. The heartfelt messages appeared in the funeral notices section of PlymouthLive's sister title, The Herald.
The messages, placed between August 31 and September 6, provide comfort to the loved ones of those either lost or being celebrated. There was were also two acknowledgements.

Kathleen peacefully passed away at Derriford Hospital on 24th August 2024 and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Beloved husband of Barbara Carter (Nee Rees), loving father of Joanne, father-in-law of Justin and grandpa of Finley who passed away suddenly on July 18th 2024. You'll be forever in our hearts and we'll be loving you always. Captain Warwick Arthur HEMMING
On August 28th 2024, Warwick passed away in Derriford Hospital at the ripe old age of 83. After a 31-year career in the Merchant Navy, he retired home to Newton Ferrers to enjoy more adventures. Together with his wife Barbara Joan Hemming (nee Stevens) they created a successful B&B business and enjoyed touring the British canals on a narrow boat for many years. He was the loving father of Mark and Deborah, and Grandpa of Naomi, Aidan, Daniel, Brydn and Cowyn. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Marjorie Hemming and his wife of 56 years Barbara. He was a kind gentleman, great husband and the best dad ever.
